Bring warmth and rustic character to your fireplace with a flamed solid European oak mantel beam, handcrafted to order in our workshop. The flamed treatment enhances the timber’s grain and creates a distinctive aged appearance, making each beam an individual feature in your home.
Choose from a range of sizes, lengths and oil colours to complement your fireplace. Our oak mantle beams are available in three surface styles, from smoothly sanded to deeply distressed.

Each beam is hand-planed and sanded, so finished dimensions may vary by up to approximately ⅓ inch from the selected size.
Natural oak character
Grain patterns, knots, cracks, splits and shakes are natural features of solid oak. These vary between beams and contribute to their individual appearance. Further movement and changes in cracking may occur as the timber adjusts to your home.
Natural timber colour and the flamed treatment also influence the final oil colour, so your beam may differ slightly from photographs and finish samples.
Production & delivery
Your beam is made to order, with a standard production lead time of 5 working days before dispatch. It is carefully packed for courier delivery, with free UK delivery included. Courier transit time is additional.
If you need your order by a specific date, please contact us before ordering so we can check whether your deadline can be met.
Fireplace installation
For installation above a fireplace or log burner, ask your installer to confirm the appliance manufacturer’s required clearances to combustible materials.
Production & Delivery
Each piece is made to order in our workshop, with a standard production lead time up to 5 working days. Your order is carefully packed and sent by courier, with free UK delivery included. Transit time is additional and depends on your location.
Care & Finish
Wipe with a soft cloth; re-oil every 18 months. Keep away from direct heat and standing water and the oak will only look better with age.
