Choose your surface style

• Sanded — Smooth surfaces with gently rounded edges for a clean, natural appearance.

• Lightly Worked — More pronounced shaping along the edges creates a gently distressed look.

• Heavily Worked — Deeper scalloping along the edges and visible faces creates a distinctive rustic appearance.

Choose your corbels

Select Type A or Type B, as shown in the product photographs. Your order includes a pair of oak corbels in your chosen design.

If you prefer to apply the oil yourself, contact us before ordering to arrange for oil to be supplied separately. For other wall types, please check fixing suitability before installation.

Custom lengths & dimensions

Each beam is hand-planed and sanded, so finished dimensions may vary by up to approximately ⅓ inch from the selected size.

Natural oak character

Grain patterns, knots, cracks, splits and shakes are natural features of solid oak. These vary between pieces and contribute to their individual appearance. Further movement and changes in cracking may occur as the timber adjusts to your home.

Natural colour variations affect how the oak takes an oil finish. The beam and corbels may therefore differ slightly in grain and shade, even when finished with the same oil.

Production & delivery

Your order is made in our workshop, with a standard production lead time of 5 working days before dispatch. It is carefully packed for courier delivery, with free UK delivery included. Courier transit time is additional.

Fireplace installation

For installation above a fireplace or log burner, ask your installer to confirm the appliance manufacturer’s required clearances to combustible materials, allowing for both the beam and corbels.

Each piece is made to order in our workshop, with a standard production lead time up to 5 working days. Your order is carefully packed and sent by courier, with free UK delivery included. Transit time is additional and depends on your location.

Wipe with a soft cloth; re-oil every 18 months. Keep away from direct heat and standing water and the oak will only look better with age.
