Product Details
Bring warmth and natural character to your fireplace with a solid European oak mantel beam, handcrafted to order in our workshop. Choose from a range of sizes, oil colours and surface styles to complement your home.
Our oak mantle beams suit both modern and traditional interiors, with each piece displaying its own natural grain and character.
Choose your surface style
-
Sanded — Smooth surfaces with gently rounded edges for a clean, natural appearance.
-
Lightly Worked — More pronounced shaping along the edges creates a gently distressed look.
-
Heavily Worked — Deeper scalloping along the edges and visible faces creates a distinctive rustic appearance.
What’s included
-
One solid oak beam in your selected size and surface style.
-
Your chosen oil finish, applied in our workshop.
-
Pre-drilled mounting holes and concealed fixings suitable for solid walls.
If you prefer to apply the oil yourself, contact us before ordering to arrange for oil to be supplied separately. For other wall types, please check fixing suitability before installation.
Custom lengths & dimensions
Need a length that isn’t listed? Contact us with your measurements before placing your order.
Each beam is hand-planed and sanded, so finished dimensions may vary by up to approximately ⅓ inch from the selected size.
Natural oak character
Grain patterns, knots, cracks, splits and shakes are natural features of solid oak. These vary between beams and contribute to their individual appearance. Further movement and changes in cracking may occur as the timber adjusts to your home.
Natural timber colour also influences the final oil colour, so your beam may differ slightly from photographs and finish samples.
Production & delivery
Your beam is made to order, with a standard production lead time of 5 working days before dispatch. It is carefully packed for courier delivery, with free UK delivery included. Courier transit time is additional.
If you need your order by a specific date, please contact us before ordering so we can check whether your deadline can be met.
Fireplace installation
For installation above a fireplace or log burner, ask your installer to confirm the appliance manufacturer’s required clearances to combustible materials.
Production & Delivery
Each piece is made to order in our workshop, with a standard production lead time up to 5 working days. Your order is carefully packed and sent by courier, with free UK delivery included. Transit time is additional and depends on your location.
Care & Finish
Wipe with a soft cloth; re-oil every 18 months. Keep away from direct heat and standing water and the oak will only look better with age.
